GRAMMY Foundation, Best Buy And Starkey Hearing Foundation Launch Sound Matters Campaign
February 23, 2009

Starkey Hearing Foundation and the GRAMMY Foundation have partnered with Best Buy to launch the Sound Matters campaign in more than 900 Best Buy store locations. With a goal of communicating the importance of hearing health and hearing loss prevention among young music fans, Sound Matters has enlisted the support of artists such as Sara Bareilles, Crosby Loggins, Taylor Swift, and Jimmy Wayne  to help promote the campaign. Funds from participating partners JVC, Sony and Philips Headphones, along with customers' purchases, will be donated to the Sound Matters awareness campaign and matched by the Best Buy @15 Fund. Best Buy established the @15 Fund to allow teenagers to help decide where to allocate the fund's community service contributions. For more information on this initiative and to watch Taylor Swift's PSA, visit www.soundmatters.org.
