October 11, 2007 Hyatt Regency Chicago, 151 East Wacker Dr., ChicagoThe Chicago Chapter of The Recording Academy presents The Recording Academy Honors 2007 celebrating GRAMMY Award winning artists Cheap Trick and Kanye West, Metro owner Joe Shanahan, and a special Legacy presentation to Robin McBride.
The Recording Academy Honors acknowledges those whose outstanding achievements and contributions have significantly enriched the music community and our community-at-large. Formerly known as the Heroes Awards, proceeds from this event will support the Chicago Chapter's ongoing advocacy, education and professional development programs.
The evening will begin with a cocktail hour followed by dinner and the tribute presentations with celebrity presenters and performers.
Tickets for The Recording Academy Honors gala go on sale on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 (pending availability), range from $125 for Academy members to $175 for non-member VIPs, and are available by calling the Chicago Chapter office at 312.786.1121.
