Buddy Guy's Legends, 754 S. Wabash, Chicago, 6 p.m. – midnightThe Chicago Chapter will present its annual Chicago Bluesfest Kickoff Jam on June 10 at Buddy Guy's Legends. Local and national artists will join with one of Buddy Guy's Legends famed house bands, Brother John And His Band, for a night of the blues in a tribute to the city's musical heritage.
Featured artists performing will include Billy Branch, Vino Louden, Michael McDermott, Nick Moss, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, Pinetop Perkins, Matthew Skoller, and Sones De Mexico.
A reserved table for four is available for $200 and tickets are $10 for Academy members and $30 for non-members. Member tickets and tables must be purchased from the Chapter office by e-mailing RSVP_Chicago@grammy.com or calling 312.786.1316 for more information. Non-member tickets can be purchased through www.buddyguys.com.
Event proceeds will benefit Chicago Chapter programming, local artists and music industry professionals.
